Here is a light up sign from a retail store. It just announces Sonic can be found inside, and as you can see, it lights up too! It was likely sold to retail places in the USA or possibly the UK. The sign is about 2 feet wide, with a plastic front.
This looks to be from around the time of early Sonic (due to the JP stock art being used, and the different looking title.
